Career Coaching

The global economic situation nowadays leads individuals to question their occupational choices. The fact is that the human side of today’s capitalism is neglected. Hence the questioning activity results in unsatisfying and insufficient responses for the reasoning of these choices.

The occupational decisions are mainly taken due to socio-economical and psychological considerations ignoring the individual’s interests, motivation and strengths. As a result, the majority of the individuals are unhappy with their work, feeling exploited and unfortunately they are unsuccessful.

First comes first: In order to be satisfied and motivated with one’s job, it is required to do an internal work becoming connected with one’s own interests, motivation and strengths. While doing this internal work, it is crucial to ignore some pragmatic concerns for a while such as how to deal with fixed monthly payments. Minerve’s Career Coaching provides this isolated “thinking box” and it creates a great value in making long-lasting and sound career decisions.

Financial challenges and cultural pressures are important obstacles in front of individuals having an independent choice.

Minerve proposes an interdependent form of change leadership, not ignoring the above mentioned obstacles but holding them for a while. A blend of Cognitive Behavioral Coaching model with Adlerian Coaching model improves the probability of successful change efforts in transforming the cognition and the consequent behavior. In this fashion, the coachee gets into a fundamental transformation process with which she achieves a deeper and longer lasting change. The result is very satisfying. Happy, efficient and satisfied individuals that are successful in their business lives.

Our Approach

 Career Coaching

In Minerve, career coaching is framed around these activities:

  • Ensuring coachee’s job search targets
  • Changing job seeker coachee’s mentality
  • Discovering “where” and “what” the coachee wants to be and matching with her talents

Career Counseling and Consulting

Career Counseling and Consulting is different from Career Coaching. In counseling and consulting, the client gains new learnings and capabilities.

The focus is especially in these areas:

  • A systematic approach is adopted to help the client understand her interests, motivations and strengths and how well they match up with the considered jobs
  • Strategic job search to discover published and unpublished job market
  • CV tips that make critical differences
  • Interview strategies leading to better offers
  • Negotiation skills to overcome offer discussions

Client Profile

The business people in almost all phases in their careers may apply for the career coaching and/or career consulting service.

As it would be tremendously value adding for a career launching individual to discover her own personality and strengths, it is also very valuable for a promotion seeker or job changing individual to gain people management skills before getting to the next phase.  For this reason, coachees and clients demand coaching and consulting: to uncover the potential

Generally coachees and clients can be grouped into 6:

  • Fresh graduate: career launching
  • Career change: satisfactory job changes
  • Job search: career re-launching
  • Promotion: getting ready for the next phase and build one’s own “brand image”
